Betrayal Trauma

Has someone broken your trust? Kept a secret that led you to question your own reality?

Betrayal can cause deep emotional distress and lingering symptoms of trauma.

Infidelity/Affair Recovery

Have you been considering divorce or separation after finding out about an affair?

Are you struggling to come to terms with the infidelity of a spouse or partner?

We don’t enter into marriage thinking it will end. So when we find out our partner has been unfaithful or betrayed our trust, the effects can be significant. If you’re reeling and trying to process finding out about an affair or infidelity, you are dealing with not only the end of something you believed in, but the betrayal of someone you trusted.

Problematic Sexual Behaviors/Sex Addiction

Sex Addiction, also referred to as Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder, is a condition when a person struggles to control their thoughts and behaviors related to sex, as there is an intense focus on sexual fantasies, urges or behaviors that can not be controlled.

Emotional Abuse

Emotional abuse is not as easy to spot as physical abuse, but oftentimes its effects can be just as traumatic.

Emotional abuse can involve a wide range of tactics, including gaslighting, shaming and manipulation. All of these are intended to leave the victim feeling confused, powerless and hopeless.

Relationship or Intimacy Issues

We can often find ourselves in repeated negative patterns and disagreements in the relationships we value most.

At the BTRC we focus on all aspects of the relationship between partners, identifying the couple’s attitudes and presenting problems.

Bereavement refers to the process of recovering from the death of a loved one, and grief is a reaction for any form of loss. Both encompass a wide range of emotions such as fear, anger and deep, deep sadness.

Life Transitions

Has your life been touched by a major event such as a death, divorce or layoffs at work?

There’s no denying that life often presents us with our fair share of challenges, usually in the form of sudden change. These life transitions, even the positive ones, can throw us into a tailspin and leave us feeling stressed, confused and vulnerable.

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

Do you find focusing, organizing tasks, or controlling impulses challenging?

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly known as ADHD, is a neurodevelopmental condition that can affect people of all ages. It is characterized by persistent inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity patterns that can significantly impact various aspects of life.

Are you or someone you know navigating the unique challenges of pregnancy or the postpartum period?

Do you find yourself constantly on edge, worrying about the future, or feeling a sense of impending doom?

Anxiety is a common mental health condition that goes beyond occasional stress. It involves persistent and excessive worry that can interfere with daily life. Anxiety can manifest in various forms, such as generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, or specific phobias.
