Sex Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Healing from compulsive sexual behavior and intimacy struggles requires more than willpower alone. Our Sex Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program is designed to provide structured, compassionate, and specialized support for individuals ready to pursue meaningful recovery. At the BTRC, we offer a personalized and trauma-informed approach to help you understand patterns, rebuild integrity, and develop sustainable change.

Duration: 8–12 weeks
Format: Customized intensive outpatient program (individualized schedule)

What Is the Sex Addiction IOP?

Our Sex Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program is a structured, short-term program that combines evidence-based treatment with individualized care. Each participant receives a customized treatment plan that may include:

•  CSAT individual therapy

•  Trauma therapy and attachment-focused work

•  Skill-building for emotional regulation and relapse prevention

•  Psychoeducation and recovery planning

•  Support groups and accountability structures

This program is designed to provide deeper support than weekly therapy while allowing you to maintain work, family, and daily responsibilities. No two recovery journeys are the same. Our team works collaboratively with you to create a treatment plan aligned with your goals, values, and stage of recovery.

You might be a fit for this Program if:

  • Feel out of control with sexual behaviors, pornography use, or compulsive relationship patterns

  • Are experiencing consequences in your relationship, work, or emotional wellbeing

  • Have tried to stop or reduce behaviors but struggle to maintain change

  • Want specialized support from clinicians trained in sex addiction and trauma

  • Are seeking a structured recovery plan with accountability and support

  • Need more than weekly therapy but do not require residential treatment

What to expect from the Program?

1. Comprehensive Assessment

We begin with a thorough assessment to understand your history, current behaviors, relational dynamics, and goals. This helps us tailor a program that meets your specific needs.

Individualized Treatment Plan

Your 8–12 week program may include a combination of:

  • Multiple-weekly individual therapy sessions

  • CSAT recovery work

  • Trauma-focused therapy

  • Group support and psychoeducation

  • Skills for emotional regulation, boundaries, and relapse prevention

  • Partner or relational support when appropriate

2. Skill Building & Accountability

You will learn tools to manage triggers, regulate emotions, build integrity, and develop healthier intimacy patterns. Our goal is to help you create sustainable recovery beyond the program.

3. Integration & Ongoing Support

As the program concludes, we help you develop a long-term recovery plan that may include continued therapy, support groups, and community resources.
